AHI Trains Mental Health Nurses on AYFHS Provision
Healthcare providers play a significant role in providing services to young people. As such, institutions must adequately train them on how to deliver Adolescent and Youth-Friendly Health Services (AYFHS). To this end, the Health Services Unit of Action Health Incorporated (AHI) organized a week-long training programme for 29 Post-Basic Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing students from the Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital Yaba, Lagos.
Expanding Voluntary Access to Modern Contraceptives in Cross River and Imo States
To increase the uptake of modern contraceptives in the South Eastern region of Nigeria, AHI conducted a Scale-Up Capacity Building Programme for 100 Community Health Extension Workers (CHEWs) and Community Health Volunteers (CHVs). This programme was carried out in 4 Local Government Areas across Owerri, Imo State (Ikeduru and Isiala Mbano) and Calabar, Cross River State (Calabar Municipal and Ikom).
