Teenage Festival of Life 2017: FGM Free Generation
Nigeria has the highest absolute number of cases of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) in the world, accounting for about one-quarter of the estimated 115–130 million circumcised women worldwide. The Teenage Festival of Life 2017 will provide an opportunity for young people to be adequately informed about issues of FGM in Nigeria, with a view to enlisting them as critical stakeholders in efforts to end FGM.
