Job Title: Programme Interns (Communication and Programme)
Location: Lagos
Duration: 3 Months ( With the possibility of extension based on performance )
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: Programmer Manager
Internship Positions Available:
1. Social Media/Communication Intern
Key Responsibilities:
-Support the organization of events and outreach activities.
- Assist in developing and implementing communication strategies to raise awareness about AHI Programmes.
- Create engaging content for social media, newsletters, and other promotional materials.
- Support the organization of events and outreach activities.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication efforts.
Qualifications:
- Recently graduated with a degree in Communications, PR, Marketing, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing.
- A passion for youth empowerment and community development.
2. Programme Intern
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs aimed at enhancing young people’s health and development.
- Assist in data collection and analysis to measure program impact.
- Collaborate with team members to develop project reports and proposals.
- Engage with community stakeholders and participants to gather feedback.
Qualifications:
- Recently graduated with a degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Previous experience in program management or community work is a plus.
- A passion for youth empowerment and community development.
Technical Expertise, Skills and Knowledge
- Demonstrating a willingness to learn new ideas using a combination of learning approaches, self-motivation and Initiative
- Ability to inspire oneself to take on challenging tasks and commitment to deliver work of excellent quality.
- Good analytical and strategic thinking skills and strong research skills
- Cultural awareness and the ability to build relationships quickly with a wide variety of people
- Patience, adaptability, flexibility, and the ability to improvise and remain responsive and to communicate clearly and effectively under pressure
- Strong communication (written and spoken), and interpersonal skills
