JOIN OUR TEAM – PROGRAMME INTERNS (Communication and Programme)

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Programme Interns (Communication and Programme)
Location: Lagos
Duration: 3 Months ( With the possibility of extension based on performance )

Employment Type: Full-time

Reports to: Programmer Manager

Internship Positions Available:

1. Social Media/Communication Intern

Key Responsibilities:

-Support the organization of events and outreach activities.

  • Assist in developing and implementing communication strategies to raise awareness about AHI Programmes.
  • Create engaging content for social media, newsletters, and other promotional materials.
  • Support the organization of events and outreach activities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Recently graduated with a degree in Communications, PR, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing.
  • A passion for youth empowerment and community development.

2. Programme Intern

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs aimed at enhancing young people’s health and development.
  • Assist in data collection and analysis to measure program impact.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop project reports and proposals.
  • Engage with community stakeholders and participants to gather feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Recently graduated with a degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in program management or community work is a plus.
  • A passion for youth empowerment and community development.

Technical Expertise, Skills and Knowledge

  • Demonstrating a willingness to learn new ideas using a combination of learning approaches, self-motivation and Initiative 
  • Ability to inspire oneself to take on challenging tasks and commitment to deliver work of excellent quality.
  • Good analytical and strategic thinking skills and strong research skills
  • Cultural awareness and the ability to build relationships quickly with a wide variety of people
  • Patience, adaptability, flexibility, and the ability to improvise and remain responsive and to communicate clearly and effectively under pressure
  • Strong communication (written and spoken), and interpersonal skills
