| St. Valentine's Day Celebration Action Health Incorporated organized an event for young people on the 14th of February with the theme “Love at first sight”. The programme was aimed at helping the 260 young people (80 males and 180 females) from 16 schools present at the event understand the true meaning of love; differentiate it from infatuation and sex. It also focused on how young people can keep healthy relationships and dates. MORE |
| HIV/AIDS and Child Labour Prevention Campaign In intensifying the efforts of the World AIDS Campaign and “No to Child Labour” Campaign, AHI collaborated with Living Hope Care, Ilesha with funding support from OLAM Nigeria Limited to undertake a community focused campaign themed “HIV/AIDS and Child Labour Prevention Campaign” among Ore Agbe Ilesha Cocoa Famers and students of Irepodun High School, Erin Oke, Osun State. | In-House Staff Capacity Building on Current Trends in Adolescent Pregnancy As a way of building the capacity of adolescent health providers in AHI to address the current and emerging issues in adolescent pregnancy, Dr. Onigbogi, a Resident Doctor in the AHI Youth-friendly Clinic made a presentation on “Adolescent Pregnancy”. The presentation focused on an overview of adolescent highlighting the current statistics and the burden of adolescent pregnancy in Nigeria and outside the country as well as prevention. MORE |

During Children’s Day Celebration at AHI There couldn’t have been a better place to be for any young person on Monday 29th, of May 2012 than 17, Lawal Street Jibowu Yaba as it was the day when Action Health Incorporated (AHI) commemorated this year’s children’s day with 119 young people (43 males and 76 females). | Teenage Festival Of Life 2012 Script Writing Workshop In order to enhance the preparation of all participating schools in TFL, AHI organised a capacity building workshop in collaboration with the National Centre for Energy Efficiency and Conservation (NCEEC) on script writing and stage presentation in drama, poetry, music and cartoon categories for secondary schools in Lagos State on the festival’s theme “Youth and Energy Use: Securing our health and environment”. | National Dialogue On Youth Friendly Health Service Provision In order to facilitate the national scale-up of youth-friendly health service provision, the FMOH in collaboration with Action Health Incorporated with funding support from the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation convened a one-day dialogue on the provision of youth friendly health services. The goal of the dialogue was to mobilize partners, agencies and donors to commit and buy-in to the national programme roll-out of youth-friendly health service provision as well as explore mechanisms for sustainability. | Commissioning of a Model Youth Friendly Clinic, Kuje General Hospital, FCT Recently, a model youth friendly clinic, Kuje General Hospital, Kuje, FCT was officially commissioned on Thursday, 15th March 2012 by the FCT Health Secretary, Dr. Ademola Onakomaiya.
